Behind Your Touch is another Netflix TV series that I thoroughly enjoyed. You might wonder why I’m posting a lot of K-Drama stuff. Well, it’s because they’re so entertaining. The usual formula of love stories can be so predictable that I stopped watching Philippine teleseryes because of it. I could see plots miles away. And Philippines has a tendency to over-sell a product. For example, at one point, Philippines became obsessed with a teleserye about 2 sisters named Mara and Clara. It played every weekday from 1992 to 1997. That is a total of 1,209 episodes. That’s not counting the actors showing up to talk shows, radio, and a few movies or so. It established the formula that for a long time, Philippine entertainment had similar elements to that show.
Why K-Dramas Became Superior
K-Dramas became superior in my opinion because of how varied the shows are. Behind Your Touch is one of them. It still had the same elements of a usual love story in a K-Drama. A quirky female lead, with a brooding male lead. This one though mixed in some supernatural elements. The female lead developed mind reading powers if she touches a person in a certain way.
As her sleepy town is suddenly plagued with murders after she develops her powers, male lead who is a police officer arrives. They both use each other’s capabilities to solve the murders. The twists and turns the K-Drama had, kept me from canceling my Netflix subscription.
Behind Your Touch’s Twisty Plot
The plot thickens as the female lead finds out there is another person who shares her power, which leads to a chilling conclusion that there may be more. What if the killer/killers had the same ability?
It’s obvious that one of the killers does have the ability, but how did the killer keep themself safe from female lead? That was a very nice twist, as great as to who the killer was.
However, I never really understood why female lead got the ability to read minds. Still, it was a fun TV series to watch in Netflix.
If you’re looking for a TV series in Netflix and just turn of your brain a bit, Behind Your Touch is a fun story that will keep you entertained from start to finish.
