I have never been that enamored with K-dramas. It has always been my sister who was addicted to Korean tv shows. Ever since we got affordable internet in the Philippines, she’s been “obtaining” k-dramas and burning CDs to watch them. She even used me
to make copies which I later found out, she was selling on the side. Ya, my sister is incredibly finance driven.
Anyway, I will try to be as spoiler free in this blog. Basically, it’s a dark drama series about a bullied girl who eventually seeks revenge on all her bullies.
It’s a bit like 13 Reasons Why, but in this case, the bullied girl is alive. She faces several bullies from classmates, a teacher and even her own parents. It does rely sometimes on shock value but I find the story captivating.
It’s hard to believe that this was just released recently by Netflix and it has already been one of the shows that topped views in several countries. However, I’m not confident that they’ll make a season 2. I do believe Netflix and Korea like to make 1 season shows.
I’m also watching a few more Netflix K-dramas. These are the ones that I’ll be binge watching.
